If your doing it for a business you should have your own domain name you can buy one at http://www.godaddy.com . You will also want to have your own hosting account as well that you can get at http://www.lakeareawebs.com/links.html... .

If you sign up for web hosting there they will give me credit for referring you to them. Their Business plan offers more databases then you will probably need as well as it is a very well rounded plan especially if you want to have more then one domain in the future. I would recommend them to anyone they are the best I have found in several years of looking for the best hosting company out there.

Most of the online businesses out there require or need the use of a database therefore I would suggest you go with their middle plan or higher.

Unless you already have applications written that require you to use the Microsoft platform your probably best off sticking with the Linux hosting plans they offer.

If you need to do internet credit card transactions you will also need a secure site certificate as well as a merchant account for the credit card transactions. It is not as simple as you may think to get an e-commerce website up and running.

I would highly suggest you get a professional involved at least in the beginning to get you started.

I could build the site for you but for me to do that you would have to pay for the domain name, hosting, and my development charges.

Typically my development charges are about 500 dollars for 10 static pages and 1000 dollars for e-commerce or data base required websites of about the same size.

Even if you do not decide to hire me to build your site you should consider the above mentioned sites for your hosting and domain name needs.
