The miracle and joy of creation is dampened somewhat by this pesky state of being.

No one knows for sure what causes nausea during pregnancy, but it's probably some combination of the many physical changes taking place in your body. Some possible causes include:

Rapidly rising levels of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) during early pregnancy. No one knows how hCG contributes to nausea, but the timing is right: Nausea tends to peak around the same time as levels of hCG.

Estrogen, another hormone that rises rapidly in early pregnancy, is also considered a prime suspect, and it's possible that other hormones play a role as well.

An enhanced sense of smell and sensitivity to odors. It's not uncommon for a newly pregnant woman to feel overwhelmed by the smell of a bologna sandwich from four cubicles away, for example, and that certain aromas instantly trigger her gag reflex. This may be a result of higher levels of estrogen.

A tricky stomach. Some women's gastrointestinal tracts are simply more sensitive to the changes of early pregnancy.

You may have heard that morning sickness can be caused by a vitamin B deficiency. While taking a vitamin B6 supplement does seem to help ease nausea in many pregnant women, this doesn't mean they have a vitamin deficiency. In fact, at least one study has shown no significant differences in the levels of B6 in women with morning sickness and those without.

Hope this helps.

We don't really know what causes nausea in pregnancy. Some theories have to do with the hormone progesterone, which is the dominant hormone during pregnancy. It has a generalized "softening" effect on smooth muscle, which would include the stomach. Perhaps this effect was meant for the uterus to prevent preterm labor, but its effects are also generalized to many other organs. We know that the entire gastrointestinal system slows down and this is what causes constipation in pregnancy.

Another theory is that elevated levels of steroid hormones and hCG (human chorionic gonadotopin) may be involved. These hormones are secreted by the ovary and the newly implanting embryo. Several studies have suggested that pregnancies "complicated" by nausea have better outcomes (fewer miscarriages). So it may be that nausea is actually a good thing!

It's the hormones! Ur body is trying to cope the mass production of different hormones. It make u feel sick. It quite similar to PMS, when ur body produce a bit more hormones. U'll feel headache and etc...

For pregnant woman, the baby is still not able to produce its own hormones. Ur body have to produce double or more amount of hormones for the baby growth and also to stop ur own body to releasing eggs.

Usually the morning sickness will get better when baby is able to take care of hormones production from the 4th month onward.

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. More instant remedies at http://usefulinfomorningsickness.blogspot.com/
