Not sure if it's true but the story of Berwick Upon Tweed being at war with Russia for over a century which started in 1856. Due to it's situation on the border between Scotland and England it changed hands on many occasions so supposedly it became a "separate entity." When Queen Victoria signed the declaration of war with Russia (known as The Crimean War ) it was said that she signed it Victoria Queen of Great Britain, Ireland and Berwick Upon Tweed. When the war was over and the peace treaty signed there was no mention of Berwick Upon Tweed so technically it was still at war with Russia and apparently the mayor of the town told the Russian ambassador in the 1960s that he proposed a peace treaty to which the ambassador replied "I will tell the people of Russia they can sleep safely at night. " How much of this (if any) is true I don't know but a great story all the same.

A crocodile cant open its jaws if you put an elastic band around them, as most of the muscles are used to clamp down, not open.
And as for the "cant lick your elbow" thing, heres a question i did ages ago proving that wrong. look it up on youtube, loads of people can do it.

Working as a Fire/Medic one day, watched a young lady (suicidal) jump off a 9 story building. One story down she hits a roofing-tar pipe (up from the street), slides about 2 stories on it , falls off to a large tree on sidewalk, breaks a limb which 'springs' her to an awning over the door entrance, slides on that to her feet, standing. Jeans burned through to skin from sliding on pipe, no abrasion to skin. Sometimes cartoon-physics do happen, but I'd like to see her do it again just like that!. * Obviously she was taken to Md's on a psych-hold.
