Yes, you need to support the child. That kid is the fruit of "the flame of love" which GOD have given to each and everyone of us. You better support him/her.
GOD BLESS THE CHILD!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand what you are saying. (the husband may not feel comfortable with you in their life, like a constant reminder of her mistake.) I would say say yes: in the case that you and her feel it is best. If for some reason you don't want to and feel totally okay with not having anything to do with the child: he can always adopt your baby. I f you do want to have the grand experience of raising your on offspring, then go for it!! It can change you for the best and plus you will get to be there for the child and still have time to yourself due to you guys not being a couple. What is not proper about supporting your own child?....Now days, you would be called a special breed of fathers. The child will definitely benefit from having an extra parent figure to guide him/her. Just make sure you do not pry in the mothers life. Try to make it as simple as possible for them since the situation is already a mess.

Yes you should help with your child and support your child's welfare.

I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH:
DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT
WHO
WHAT
WHEN
WHERE
WHY
DATE
TIME

PROOF such as cancelled check, money order receipts & stub.

If you pay by check in the memo make a VERY detailed list of what the money is for.

Keep copies of checks, receipts of anything purchased.

Good record of all payments.

Make payments on time.

Do not give cash if you do then go get a money order and document on it and the money order receipt a detailed message what it is for.

If you are paying directly to child support enforcement they will have a print out of all received payments BUT STILL KEEP YOUR OWN RECORDS cause they can make mistakes.

Here is a web site that can be helpful to you.
It is for incarcerated folks so don't get upset that I gave it to you. It has good info.

Be careful trying to modifiy to a lower child support payment because many times they do not lower it but make it higher.

Child Support Enforcement can not do anything to you if you are making payments on time every month. But if you are ever late they will become your worse enemy.

WOW what a situation to be in. Does the woman's husband know the child is yours? Are you 100% sure the child is yours?
Your support doesn't have to be financial it could be mental. If the woman hasn't told her husband (if they are still together etc) that the child is yours then supporting the child probably isn't necessary for the present time.
You could start a bank account/trust for the child. When he or she turns 18 they could receive the monies not to mention the truth as to who the father is. This will be the support you can give now and later.

First off get a DNA test

Secondly does the husband know what is going on?

Thirdly are you being given visitations and rights to your child - or does momma just want money and you to stay away?

Lastly - If you are the father (DNA says so) go to court and get a court order for visitations and pay child support via courts - so she doesn't play you and her husband off of each other anymore

Yes you should. Step up and be a the proper man. If you can do the deed, you can pay the time and money. If the womans husband believes this baby is his, you should talk to this man and explain what happened.
