lately i have been finding my 16week old kitten sleeping cuddled up to my 2 rabbits!!! he has constant access to my house but he is chossing to sleep with them!!! he is getting in there as they have an open hutch with constant access to their run. i dont feel threated with this being open as my 2 cats are the only around in my villiage and they have been like that for a year now and apart from bradley going in there nothing else has been. http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa161/loops1988izzy/pend004.jpg

Kittens will bond with just ablout any living thing. They are usually weened too early and they just need their mom. But serrogate rabbits, dogs, people, even stuffed animals can. I had the opposite happen. I had a baby rabbit bond with the cats to the point where it actually would often try to walk not hop. Strrrangg huh? I don't think you'll have any problems.
My cats now will let my bird walk on them. They want to kill all other birds but they somehow know that this bird is part of the pride.

First, you are a very caring person to go out every morning to care for that lady's abandoned animals. Why is the pound waiting three days to get them? I would not recommend getting a cat without getting permission from your mom. She is still grieving over the last and may grow to resent this one if you go behind her back and get it before she is ready. Discuss the situation with your mom. Tell her how she has a chance to save another kitten's life. Bring one of the kittens to her and she might change her mind. After all, kittens are very hard to resist. When the person from the pound comes, tell them your interest in taking one of the kittens. They might place it on hold for you.

one night, a young cat got into our rabbits hutch whilst the rabbit was in the house, my daughter put the rabbit to bed, only to have a cat jump out of the hutch the next day. After that, they would sit side by side on the lawn together.

We used to have a rabbit that cuddled upto our dog. She used to come in the house and look for him. Just liked the company.
