I would travel back in time to about 2500 years ago and try to see Shakyamuni Buddha in person. If I had any battery left on the time maching I would also try to meet Jesus although you might be on dangerous ground to try that one because of the political situation at that time in that place.
The writings say that Buddha was revered during his life by the wealthy and powerful as well as the common people, so seeing him if you got to the right historical era would not be difficult.
The reason I would try to see Buddha and Jesus would be to see if the actual reality of their presence matches in any way the flowery and supernatural scriptures written about them in the many years since they died.
Then if my time machine still worked I would try to go ten thousand years into the future to see if we ever figure out how to do space travel and even just to see if we've destroyed our planet and ourselves by then.

Dunno. Probably start out by finding out the truth behind many of the great mysteries of the world, and then going back in time to visit historic moments in history, or to see how certain people and cultures lived, and eventually go and visit the future and see if I can find a time where we are part of some intergalatic federation and go and live there.

I would go back to the garden of Eden and persuade Adam not to bite the apple! Then I would like to see how man progressed from not gaining wisdom, perhaps into the God family?

I'd go back to when I first met my now husband ... but he'd be with me and we wouldn't 'stay long' ... just long enough to 'relive' that very special time in our lives. It may mean 'nothing' to the rest of the world, but it was 'the beginning' of our happiness as a 'couple' ... we are together 'forever and beyond' ...
