Can people use a device to pick up your private cell phone calls? If so, how can you block them?

No people I am not doing anything wrong. Just a private person. I haven't done anything wrong or bad. If you are making a private call it should remain private. I guess it's not very private is it...not worried just wondering.

yes people buy police scanners and can program the codes to hear them. it might be illegal but easily done.i dont know if there is a way to block them.i hope this helps.

Yes the short answer is that it can be done and there isn't any real way to prevent it because a dedicated individual will always find a way around any block.

Thats what becomes the real question. Is anything you have to say really that important that some one would put out that time, effort, and money?

Unless you are a highly placed executive of a fourtinue 500 company, a government diplomat operating in a forigen country, or Paris Hilton. I wouldn't really worry about it that much.

Any signal broadcast over airwaves is "Public Domain". The only blocking devices I know of are:
1. Classified top-security for military use.
2.Way too costly.
3. Illegal in most parts of the world.
4. There's no such thing as a "private cell phone call".

In other words, use a hard-wired landline with a 'tap-screening' device you can get at Radio - Shack.
Or, in the alternative, visit face-to-face.
