i once watched lightning shoot ove me as i laid on the bed, hit the stereo and retreat bck out the window. it took a split second but these things seem to go in slow motion....

Sorry but your Auntie's hair curlers lighting up did make me giggle. I was in the middle of a tornado and have experienced 2 small earthquakes (very scary)

Well not like that, but I stayed in FL for hurricanes Frances and Jeanne in 2004 and THAT is definitely the power of nature.

I have gone through a hurricane.
Scary yet thrilling at the same time. I always have sympathy with the Americas when it comes to this.

We went to Florida on our honeymoon and one evening we were walking along a beach during a big thunderstorm. It was very beautiful, and extremely scary!
