Information of water vapour in the atmosphere is of high importance in the field of Meteorology.The presence of water vapour in the atmosphere imparts a different nature to it-known as humidity.Therefore when water vapour is present,the air is said to be humid;othewise it is dry.
The value of relative humidity indicates whether the air is saturaed or not.100 percent humidity indicates that the air is saturated.So, the relative humidity is known as the degree of saturation.
Hence, humidity indicates the presence of water vapour in the air.So the uses of water vapour can very well be taken as the good thing about humidity.The uses of water vapour are given below:-
(1)water vapour helps in the formation of clouds and precipitation,
(2)Controls the long-wave radiation balance of the atmosphere,
(3)determines atmospheric stability,
(4)affects the heat balance conditions of the earth-atmospheric system by the powerful absorption of heat in the course of evaporation and sublimation from liquid water and ice by the eventual release of the stored latent heat or hidden heat which is involved in the reverse process.

Humidity is nothing more then water (H2O) in gaseous form. Nature uses water to help transport energy (in the form of latent heat) to equalize the energy balance of the world that is always at an imbalance due to unequal heating from our one primary source of energy (the sun).
The consequences of no water in the air are;
No food - vegetation will die.
No animals - will starve with no food.
No life on this planet.
Earth will become similar to Mars.
Water means life!

It's water in the Atmosphere that must eventually become precipitation and fall somewhere to provide moisture for vegetation and/or lively reasons.
