I was watching a TV special and saw how people who won the lotto had downfalls.
One women even said she was much happier before the money.
Some people lost family + friends which they ended up alone!
Even worst some people had threats against them for having money!
I always thought money was the fix for unhappiness.
I guess not always!
Do you feel it makes you better or worst in your opinion?

Seriously....i have a great friend who won the lottery in sept. of 2000....his life is definately better, but there are pitfalls to it too....

the secret is staying grounded.....what i mean is you don't let the money change who you are....invest it, put a substantial amount away. Of course, you can do the obvious things most people do is buy a new car, maybe a summer home, etc.

But if you let the money change who you are, your in trouble.

You must havfe willpower and not succumb to temptations.

Obviously getting a lot of money all at once opens you up to obvious temptations....this is where the true test of character comes into play.

My friend won 6.2 million 7 years ago....He immediately locked up 4 million for ten years in tax free municipal bonds?....is that smart? i would say yes.

Money isn't always a fix for happiness as there are SO many things in the world that people can be unhappy about. For me, I know winning the lottery would make the money aspect of my life happier.

I have heard that people who win the lottery loose family and friends, sadly, because the winner doesn't 'share' with the others the amount they feel is fair. For me, if I win the lottery and depending on how much I win, I would definitely share with friends and family. I would give everyone the same and I hope they wouldn't see that as though one is better or less worthy then the other. I have myself and a child to think about. I would not give them half. It would be a shame if I was faulted for this.

Unfortunately people (family and friends of the winner) aren't tight lipped. Neither is the media. If I were to win the lottery, I would do my little news broadcast and move far, far, away. :) Hopefully none of my family or friends would sell me out.

guy i like it while foreigners like CptCanuck attempt to arue what's suited for the U. S.. he's right approximately one ingredient. you decide on a greater useful preparation. that's an financial situation previous a shadow of a doubt. some days in the past, the information released some strategies on what states have been the wealthiest and what states have been the poorest and for the main section, the poorest states have been ones with a song checklist of unlawful immigrant migratory workers. i'm going to admit that i became into shocked to work out the state of California interior the backside 10 till i found out that they are the main important supporters of unlawful immigrants. the acceptable state became into Maryland and that i could no longer locate even one single peice of documentation of their information media websites on the subject of illegals. I accept as true with you that I shouldn't would desire to resign my desires because of the fact the illegals are in basic terms attempting to get a greater useful existence. the concern is that when all people needs a peice of a similar pie, the peices proceed to get smaller and smaller. jointly because it must be conceivable for an undocumented alien to paintings for 6.00 in line with hour because of the fact he would not hve to pay taxes or for groceries as a results of our welfare courses, i will't even placed a roof over my kinfolk's head for that quantity. because of the fact i'm an American and very own a house, i do no longer qualify for the advantages that they get and that i'd desire to pay taxes which continues to be seen my income even nevertheless I in no way get any of it. occasion: If I made 40 two,000 in a 300 and sixty 5 days and paid my taxes like a sturdy citizen, my definitely take abode pay could be someplace around 30,000 which might qualify me as destructive and could grant me advantages that illegals get yet, while they be certain my income they incorporate the quantity I pay in taxes as my income and so I make too lots to qualify for assistance. If we weren't so overburdened with illegals we'd have greater funds available to criminal electorate that choose the improve from the government on party. final analysis, that's all approximately economics.

moneywise it makes you better but it is important to remember that there are some things that money cant buy like love, trust, affection. it doesn't do one any good to have money if they have no one to share it with. good luck.
