Why would a march/protest of this magnitude not even be mentioned on any news channel? Is this evidence of media bias? The small army of protesters is marching towards the Capital to the Peace Monument...

According to the Post, there are an estimated 10,000 or more protesters right now, A.N.S.W.E.R. has predicted more than that. The number of people with picket signs can be seen from the webcams, the crowds are much larger than the everyday tourists...

Very good question. I have a question for you. The motivation/duty of the media is to:

A) Report unbiased and fair accounts of events and motivate the populace to take action.

B) Report a profit to the shareholders by minimizing costs, maximizing revenues, and avoiding confrontation with the corporate establishment that is making huge profits in support of the military

B is the answer. Corporations are legally obligated to maximize profits for their shareholders.

Well your question certainly is an appropriate one. The major media are owned, more or less, by a handful of conservative business interests with goals to a) make money first and b) not offend the current administration as THEY control the FCC which issues licenses to broadcast media. Any anti administration reporting is discouraged for those two reasons. Look at two things - have you ever seen mainstream media showing US body bags or dead soldiers killed in Iraq? Nope. You are really hardpressed to see any news that show wounded/maimed/bleeding soldiers or even Iraqi victims - the children, the women, even the insurgents. ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN pretty much use only images that "wouldn't offend" viewers because "children" may be watching. Give me a break! Did anyone really see Janet Jackson's nipple during the Super Bowl half time show? I don't so. And even if you did, why is that so offensive? Do children not know about breasts and nipples? Jeez, if you are challenged as a parent by that 1/100th of a second, then you should not have had kids. I think I remember seeing only fat church going women complaining about JJ's nipple. My god people, grow up!

Maybe, it depends on how popular/unpopular the issue is and how many people are estimated to be there. There are lots of protests in DC everyday, yes the media has a bias! Come on now! NPR is even getting tiresome. I'm not Jewish, I don't care about Israel 3-5 times a day, there is lots of other news going on the world.

Looks like we are learning an important truth about the so-called liberal biased media. There will be spotty coverage of this; even Fox will probably mention it in passing, though in a derogatory manner.

The MainStreamMedia is owned primarily by right wing leaning Corporations, folks. They will carry just enough left wing opinion/news to keep us believing in the left-wing-media-bias myth. Freedom of the press is becoming a myth. While it is free from most government interference, it can never be free from its owners until we wake up.

The Wa Po is one of the few major media not owned by a huge corporation.

Because the people who would want this on the air are just a small "blip" on the ratings chart!

The media is biased so they will only broadcast what they want to broadcast to sway public opinion.
