We were told today 15/09/2007 that the stove we ordered, (and paid for in andvance), is not currently available, but the shop believes that the manufacturer will be making such a model within the next few weeks. They have offered us a credit note, but we just want our money back. Where do we stand?

Good luck.

You should be entitled to your money back, but French perversity in these matters knows no bounds. If I were you I'd just keep ringing up and hassling them.

The shop must refund your money. Hopefully you paid by credit card and can bounce the charge if they don't reverse the charge. Goods must generally be shipped within 30 days or the seller must offer a full refund.
