Sometimes, whenever I get out of bed, or I stand up, my eyesight blacksout and I can't see anything for about 5 seconds. What can stop this and why does this happen?

It could be a few things. My guess is low blood pressure, however. that is the most common thing that causes those symptoms. look below for some info on it:

You may be sensitive to changing from a lying position to a standing one. When you jump out of bed, blacking out can happen in susceptible people. Sit up first, make sure you're oriented and then, stand up. Get your blood pressure checked though. You may have a problem. Or else, if you're now on medication, one of them could be causing this effect.

This is called orthostatic hypotension and is common in young women. When you change positions your circulatory system doesn't compensate quickly enough and your blood pressure drops momentarily. A lot of young women have low normal blood pressure and it's normal. Try just changing position more slowly. If it continues to be a problem see a doc.

It is called orthostatic hypotension and it means you blood pressure is dropping sharply when you go from lying to standing. Since you know this happens ALWAYS sit in bed for a minute BEFORE you try to stand up.

You may want to raise up slowly it could be a rapid change in blood pressure when you go from a laying position to a standing one. You should address this with your doctor just to be sure.

Please visit your doctor immediately this could be many things: like high blood pressure, diabetes,etc.
