I would let "chaos" rule - you know, kinda like the Mad Max version of reality. At least then humanity doesn't have to PRETEND to be civilized, and we can get on with the innate art of backstabbing in broad daylight and without the social and/or moral fear of reprimand. Great Question, BTW.

Bonus points for this question!!

In the example, there will be to much that is remnant for the existing cultures to really start something anew. There is too much knowledge in the survivors of what existed and they would automatically start gravitating to what was. This of course, may even work against the survivors.

For me,

Every citizen (this means all children) would have the same rights as adults (ageism). A right that could not be provided equally to any child would need to be rewritten or discarded from the society.

Until children begin life as equals, we will continue to pass problems from one generation to the next. Adults often use their prior discrimination as a child to justify the present discrimination towards children.

It would be a "communist" group. After the word "commune", (not the bad ones!) A community...and all would be part of the whole...and be responsible for everyone..all those who were good at a particular thing would be in charge of it, running it and making it work..teaching others..who were interested..everyone would pull their weight, and those refusing to, would be expelled from the community...simple laws...nothing harsh or too demanding...even i myself would be a part of this..no exceptions...everyones life may depend upon it...and if we work together...we would be able to accomplish anything we needed too....lol...

That's a hard question ... Well I guess that our civilization won't change even if it would be fully aware of the importance of this possible second chance. Firstly I would change people's mentality and secondly I would try to make a better environment, without pollution, crimes, envy, lies, temptations etc. :)

Phooey. I had the ideal answer until I saw your details.
I was GOING to say--ship off all the humans to another planet & let them fend for themselves, & destroy that planet like they are destroying this one, because no new laws or rules will change human nature.
Earth would recover & be beautiful again with all living things ABSENT humans.
I still think that's a great idea.

did it again! Great!

I'd set the rules, which aren't really important to describe here, and start getting cops.
