That is our role in life!!! Try this! Next time she asks you to do something, make it a team effort! Both of you go to the store and pick out whatever you are going to do, buy it, get home and explain to her how you are doing it and have her give you a hand! Believe me, it's much more fun when you can get your girl involved. She might even come up with a better idea!! Keep in mind, it may not be the greatest, but it may work better than yours. Who knows, the more you work together, the more you will get to know each other and the more fun you both will have!!! Good Luck!!!

My mother would answer that it is because husbands never finish the list and so there are always items on it.
My father would say, wives like the power trip and like to have their husbands busy so they a) don't play away and b) don't notice the Missus has gone off to town to spend some more of the Mister's money.
If it is a problem, I should sit down with your wife and agree a list of the jobs that need to be done, when they are to be done and agree that the list is only edited with two-part agreement. Remember you are her husband and not her slave. Remember she is your partner and not the woman who looks after you without any input from you.

Because she wants the place to look nice for both of you. If she is doing her part, then you should as well. My husband and I both worked 8-10 hours per week around the house doing odd jobs when we both worked. We were proud of our home and had a lot of parties and get togethers. Now I do not work and I do a lot more than he does, but I still have a list of things I can't do!!!

if you don't like doing it, then be cunning.
before this job arises suggest taking her out for the day the next time you know you have free time.
it'll take her mind off diy.
it's worked every time for me. say it in a way that seems like you feel guilty that you can't do any diy. you must be convincing...

Because somewhere along the line you let her think you enjoy doing DIY. The problem is when she likes "different" & new things, she cant stop bloody thinking of the next "project" for YOU..........
