a good couple???? I see her as whiney, fragile, yet manipulative. Jason is cagey, strong, and is a killer.... What could POSSIBLY be the common ground here???(other than the baby which was unplanned and STUPID!!!!!) Did I miss alot by being a more recent viewer and if I understood past history it would make more sense???? I just DON'T get it.....

Ok, You have a lot of questions going oin there so let me see if I can get to all of them.. here goes-
I'm not sure why other ppl think Liz and Jason would make a good couple, but for me it has been a LONG time in the making. I used to watch Liz/Lucky/Jason after school when they were together years ago. Jason and Liz have serious chemistry to me. They are open and honest with each other (except for Liz keeping the fact that Jake was Jason's from him), they talk things through with each other, they are there even when they shouldn't be for each other.
Liz wasn't as whiney or fragile before. She used to be a very strong willed and secure woman. Her character has serisouly changed since Lucky got hooked on meds and screwed around on her. You can see she is different. I still like her, but I wish the bull headed, I can do anything I set my mind to Liz would return. I also think that is why I want her with Jason because he does BELIEVE in her and lets her make up her own mind without accusing and belittling her. As far as the common ground, they have a history together. That also answers your other question about being a recent veiwer, it isn't that you are missing a lot, but you are missing some key facts in the past of Liz/Lucky/Jason. Jason has asked Liz to marry him 3 times in the past year. Lucky has cheated on Liz 3 times since they have been in a relationship.. Sarah (Liz's sister), Maxie (multiple times to score drugs), & Sam (happening this week)
Liz has been between Jason and Lucky for a long time. Let me see if I can give you a brief run down of the bigger things. They are in order but have happened over the past 10 years.
Liz has had had a crush on Lucky. He had a crush on her sister, Sarah.
Sarah and Lucky went to a valentine's day dance and while that was happening Liz was raped in the park. Lucky was the one who found her and took her home to his place, (his lived with his parents) and while taking care of her Lucky found out that his father had raped his mother. After finding this out Lucky moved out and in with Liz. They ended up falling in love. Lucky moved from Liz's to a boxcar then Lucky found a room above Jason's bike shop to rent in exchange for helping Jason at his shop.
Jason worked in the motocylce garage/bike shop. Lucky and Liz were going to move to NY so Liz could go to art school and be together. Liz and Lucky were together a little over a year when the garage/apartment caught on fire and Lucky was thought to be dead. Liz turned to Jason and he helped her deal with the death of Lucky.
Jason was shot some time after this and Liz found him, brought him back to her studio and took care of him there. They became close friends and they preteneded to be a couple/lovers to hide the fact that he was staying there because he had been shot. Jason realized his friendship with Liz was placing her in danger after someone tried to set off a bomb in her studio. Shortly after that Jason left PC and Liz was crushed.
Lucky wasn't dead, he had been kiddnapped. When Jason retunred Liz and Lucky were a couple again and lost their virginity to each other. Jason asked Elizabeth to leave town with him, but she CHOSE to stay with Lucky. Jason ended up leaving town. The woman who kiddnapped Lucky had him brainwashed into thinking he didn't love Liz and they ended up breaking up. Liz found out about the brainwashing and they tried to make things work to be a couple again. Lucky and Liz was toether again when Liz was in an accident and while she was recovering Lucky hooked up with Sarah and Liz walked in on them making love thanks to Maxie who wanted Lucky all to herself.
Jason returned to PC and Liz hid Jason in her art studio.
Later Liz was kidnapped and Jason was the one to rescue her. Jason had Liz move in with him so he could protect her better. Jason and Liz realized they wanted to be with each other.They were a couple for a bit but never had a sex. They ended up splitting up becuase of his ties to the mob and his lifestyle.
Liz was still in love with Jason when she hooked up with Ric and Jaosn was with Courtney. Liz and Jason were there for each other when Jason's sister/Liz's best friend Emily was dealing with cancer.
More recent happenings:
Liz married Lucky. He was shot and injured. He got hooked on pain meds and started sleeping with Maxie to score his drugs. Liz walked in on them and while this was happening Jason saw Sam sleeping with his enemy (her step father),and liz ended up @ Jason's looking for a friend/comfort and Jason and Liz ended up FINALLY sleeping together. Lucky and Liz got a divorce. Liz found out she was preggers and she knows it is Jason's, but most believe it is Lucky's. Liz remarried Lucky in hopes to keep him sober and clean. (Maxie had faked a pregnacny thought to be Lucky's and then made it out that Lucky had caused the miscarraige of their baby.)
Liz had her son thanks to Jason rushing her to the hospital. She named him Jake. Jake was kidnapped and Jason was the one to go rescue him and upon returning Jake, Lucky had him arrested starting the fight between Lucky and Liz. Lucky found out that Liz had slept with Jason while Jason was on trial.
Jason and Liz as did Liz and Lucky always remained friends, but always turns to Jason when anything is going on with her life.

I do not like the fact that Liz is still lying to lucky. remember people lucky also has a ten year history with Liz too.And the fact i is that she is still lying to Lucky about that baby. And she seemed so cold today when Emily told her that lucky was sleeping with SAM. It didn't seemed she didn't give a dam if her husband was dead or alive. All she cared about was Jason. Lucky has been there for her and he even fought Helena's brain washing to come back to her. And this is the thanks he gets. Lucky is better off with out her. I can not wait until the paternity of the baby finally come out. Then Liz is going to have to do some jail time for lying on the stand about the baby being lucky. She will deserve what she gets for her stupidity and her lies.

I might desire to believe bluerose right here, Sam is acquainted with the place Jason's head and heart is. he's particularly unswerving to those he helps and loves. She consistently conventional this, so now she is probably starting to be up. the way Jason lives his existence, he could be on my own, or perhaps attempt to alter his methods. the only one that is getting the quick end of the stick is Jason himself. he's lacking out on being a Father and having his own existence. i've got self belief purely pity for him, through fact he's so prepared to help others and to throw his existence away. and not for no longer something Fellow Soapers, yet he's Georgeous to envision. What a waste lol

Who knows why people like these two as a couple. Liz is ao boring and not a good pair with Jason. It's a soap opera though they always have to make things a mess. But how bout that hot Lusam scene oh yeah.

They do have past history which is where their legions of fans are based from is that past history. This was before Sam was even on the show. What I find interesting is the discription you just gave of Elizabeth is the same discription I have of Sam!
Currently I am not rooting for either of them, Sam or Liz. Jason has to many other things to deal with besides wimpy women!

I like Liz hate SAM and Jason should be with me lol!! I have been watching this show since Robin was little, the one show I always go back to. But I think he should be with Liz and the baby. It would make a good story line.

thank u for being the first to agree with me...just cause she has a kid with jason it doesn't mean they should be together....liz complains how jason has a bad job unlike sam who risked everything to save jason.
i like sam and jason and still hope they get together...

i don't like them together. she's a goody toe shoes and he's a tough guy. it makes no sense. i would rather see jason with somebody else. as for elizabeth, her and lucky were always good together, but maybe she should be lonely for awhile because she's annoying.

I think they're perfect together precisely because I hate them both, and if they're in scenes together I can simply flip the channel. If only they'd liberate poor, pretty (but oh-so-stupid) Lucky from this whole mess so I could enjoy his scenes without having to constantly roll my eyes at her.

They have a 10 year past history. She has saved him when he has been shot and took care of him and he has saved her when she needed it. They connected many years ago and he used to take her on motorcycle rides. Everytime they would get close to being together, something would happen. Elizabeth has taken responsibility for her life and actions, she really doesn't whine about them. She and Jason truly have cared for each other for a long time.Check out youtube and there is a lot of stuff about their past on there that may help.
