I don't get the spacing or what to do with a third variable (z).

ln (xy)=lnx+lny
ln (x^k)=k ln(x)
ln(x/y)=lnx - ln y
ln x + 3ln y - 5 ln z =ln (xy^3 / z^5)

lnx+3lny-5lnz
=lnx+lny^3-lnz^5
=ln[x y^3/z^5]. ANS.
