It is a wonderful example of how good can overcome evil.
Well... I have faith that it will be.

Your country has Harvard University and NASA. You explore space and cure diseases.
Your country has the rule of law and neighbors looking out for neighbors. Decent people make their way honestly everyday. Christian based charities help their communities and the world.
You have more and better guns than anyone in the world.
You give the world Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, but you also provide the dreams for a planet of wannabes, something for everyone else to aspire to.
The USA is an example of what it is to be great and humble at the same time. You are arrogant and ignorant. You try hard to be liked, even loved. You could conquer the world, but choose not to, mostly because you have a deep rooted hero complex.
The rest of us are lucky that you are the superpower and not someone else.
You are the envy of Twenty First Century mankind, just don't let it go to your head.
Most of what you are is the result of the Herculean efforts of your ancestors, you merely have inherited their legacy. If America is still great in 50 years, it will because of what happens now.

I agree with the entertainment industry.American culture is known and loved all around the world.Billions of people enjoy your movie's,television shows and music. That's an influence that's often underestimated. For many people, including me music is almost as important as the air they breath.70 percent of the music I listen to is American.Millions of people from very different cultures fall in love to American love songs, watch American TV characters when they are kids,Bert and Ernie,Disney and watch American movie's when they want to have a good time. Some say Rock and roll defeated communism more than any political action.Seriously I don't know about that but it's the freedom and liberty in American popular culture that makes many of us still love America.
Bush, fox news, all the wacky talk radio hosts are American and that could seriously damage the image the world community has about your country if it wasn't for popular culture.
It speaks volumes about your country and what it stands for that besides having those reactionary right wingers who to us are just as scary or even more so than the Iranian guy's(sorry you have more WMD's and more power in general) it's also home of Michael Moore,Stephen Colbert, the Daily show The Simpsons,Souhtpark,Rage against the machine,Nirvana,Eminem,Tupac just to name a few.
It's popular culture and more precisely the way Americans themselves critisize and confront the things that aren't good about America within those movie's,TV shows and music that makes us love America even if you reelect Bush.
That's a very big influence but I think it's true.I think world opinion would be much worse about America after all that happened if we didn't see Americans themselves adressing those issue's and doing so in an intelligent and often entertaining way.

Melting Pot.
More than anything, we have taken, repeatedly, parts of the rest of the world and made it ours, made it American.
It has transformed the world.
We are the world.
Bless all of us, throughout the world, for our efforts to keep this experiment alive in our hearts.
