For those who have read Harry Potter 7?

Question

What do you think Hermione or Harry would have seen or experienced if they tried to kill the Horcrux? We all saw how the locket brought Ron to his knees, and I've wondered what Harry or Hermione's worst fears were. For Harry it would have to be something involving Ginny, but for Hermione I don't know.

I think that Harry's wouldn't be Ginny but it would be seeing himself turning evil, because it seems to me that his connection to voldemort always gave him this fear, that he might be turning "BAD" especially that he couldn't manage to learn occlumency from snape.. Hermione's on the other hand would probably be failure cause her priority was always intellect and success.
I have read in a book interpreting HP series that the trio (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) are a symbol for any one human being, Ron being the desire of Man, Hermione being the Brain, and Harry of course being the heart or soul of man. So I would imagine the horcrux to materialize the worst fear based on this symbolism, the souls worst fear is turning evil, desire is losing its object of desire, and brain is losing its intellect.

I believe it would have taken on the form of Harry and, he would have said something along the lines of "I thought I could count, on your smarts to get us threw this, but here we are in the middle of the woods starving, without a lead you can't even come up with anything solid, guess you only know your way around the library but when it comes to real life you're clueless, I suppose it's only a matter of time before we die, what was the point of bringing you? Did you come on this trip only to cause me more grief?" then a Riddle-Ron might have come out of the locket with a disappointed look on his face as if he had lost a chess game and he would say something like "Oh well there a plenty of gnomes left in the garden I guess" and then he would shrug, and turn away from Hermione's face.

For Hermione, I think it would
have had to do with either something
really bad happening to Ron; it
wouldn't be like what Ron saw, but
it might have involved him being in
great peril. It's either that or something
happening to Hermione's parents, seeing
that she had obliviated their memories
and made them think they were some one
else...

Either way, I believe it would have
had to do with those three. It could
also have involved Harry being with
Ron and the two of them getting hurt,
but I really believe it would have to do
with Ron or her parents getting hurt or
possibly killed.

Hermione might have seen the death of her parents, or of her closest friends(Harry and Ron). She also would have been afraid that Ron might not love her back and that he will run off with another girl.

For Harry I think he would have seen Dumbledore telling him that all his efforts where worthless. As for Hermione I think she would have seen Harry and Ron. I think the locket's purpose is to make you doubt yourself and those people closest to you.

for hermoine i would expect she would see ron in some kind of trouble, but for harry well that would be interesting but there is the possibility that he woulds see his parents, dumbledore or sirius standing there about to be killed.

Hermione is too self confident and rationalistic to have such problems. She has total control of her mind. She would have just killed the Horcrux and disregard all other distractions.

yeah i agree...harry's would have involved ginny, ron hermoine, so maybe hermoine's would have seen ron too. makes the most sense

I think it would have been something to do with her mind. Do you remember when she met the boggart in the wardrobe she saw some one who told her she had failed all her exams. Perhaps she would have though she was losing her mind.
