People need instant gratification now..and considering the numebr of matches being played, people cant follow the full day matches...T20 is like football..u come home in the evening..see a fast paced entertaining match which gets over in 3 odd hours...T20 rockzzz and its here to stay...well until some one comes up with T15 and T10's....

it is a brilliant format of the game. highly entertaining, lots of fun, and best of all, SHORT.. timespans have greatly diminished and people have become much busier, so no one has the time to watch a 5 day game, or for that matter, even a 7hr game.. but this is short, testing and very very entertaining..

from the cricket point of view, i would like to contradict all those who say that it is going to spoil the game etc etc.. in my opinion, we are going to see a whole new revolution, because everyone will be made to think.. bowlers will start wondering what to bowl when they are being caned, batsmen will look to play newer, differnet shots to get the runs, and we will see lots of variations.. every game has to evolve.. and this is a great step in the evolution of cricket..

Its good to enjoy. But it too bad for minnows like Kenya. Well the accreditation of the match for the current time, is OK. But I believe, this will degrade cricket in international arina, while ICC is trying hard to popular it.

I prefer to watch 20/20 than a regular cricket, its a shorter game, quicker paced and out local club play music with the game, different sounds for for runs, 6's, catches etc.

This is the format that will become popular globally.

For example, in USA, all the popular sports are approxmiately 3-4 horus - Football, Baseball, Baketball & Soccer.

Great for batsmen, bad for bowlers great for viewers who dont have the time to waste all day in front of Tv.Good for pinch hitters less so for technically superior bats men.
