Your clothing doesn't define who you are. You are you and liking to shop at different places won't change that. Fashion should be the least of your worries at 13 years old. Just keep on wearing what you like to and forget about what other people think.
You're still just a tween. You're at an age where everything is supposed to look really cool to you. You're not supposed to be defined so young and, trust me, you will change a lot more before you hit 20. I know you feel like you're the only one who's lost, but believe me - everyone you're age is still just trying to find themselves.

Your style is everything that you just stated up there! You are a hollister, aero, tillys, pacsun, kohls girl! You don't need to change your style or strategically plan out what you are going to wear to define a style! You are who you are! Just wear what makes you feel good and what you think you look good in. It sounds like you have a variety of types of friends who will probably accept you with whatever you wear. If they don't, then they probably aren't real friends.

You don't need to fit a category - be yourself.
1] wear clothes that are cut to flatter your figure.
2] wear colors you look good in.
3] avoid trends that don't fit either of these categories
4] avoid wearing all of one designer
5] aim for outlet, sale, or clearance items - save, invest, donate some of the rest
6] consider thrift stores - all movie stars wear vintage, why not you? It also recycles, which prevents waste. [ wash the clothes before wearing, and don't buy used underwear, swim suits, or socks ].
7] clean out your closets and drawers, and donate all the too big, too small, and just tired off stuff that is in good shape

If you enjoy hollister, aero, tillys, pacsun, and khols; you're probably a surfer/prep. I know labels aren't nice. But if you're confused about what you are, with those types of clothes, that's what it seems like to me.

Wear what you feel like, however my best advice is to not buy everything you see or everything that's inexpensive. If you want to develop your signature look, look for one or two very fashionable pieces that you'll want to wear everyday, and then mix and match them with other cheaper or older things. You'll always look stylish, but you won't be spending a ton of money.

No one should expect you to know who you are at 13-this is the age to try all sorts of things and form your own style. Wear what pleases you and tell them "I'm ME!".

Well first of all, to find who you are you can't ask other people.
Just wear whatever you like best and you'll pick up on who you are. btw,You don't have to fit a label like 'preppy' or 'skater' to be yourself, try putting things you have together and see whta you get.

If you like the clothes you have why should you change them to fit a stereotype so your friends will think you "know who you are" its not the clothes that make the person it's the person that makes the clothes.
