you definitely want to do research, and websites are generally good. However, you would do better by buying a book on the type of reptile you want, and having that on hand. Know everything you can find out before buying your pet.
A 20 gallon tank would be best. The crickets are good, but I believe the leopard gecko would appreciate a newborn mouse occasionally. They can bite, but their teeth aren't very long and though it may be painful, not dreadfully so. Cost would depend on where you picked the stuff up. They do need a sun or reptile lamp.

1. Babies should be fed daily, juvies and adults anery other day.
2. Ideally, 1 leo per 10 gallons, so yes. The are terrestrial, which means they need more long than tall. Be absolutely positive you have two females. Males will fight each other, and if they are male female, the female would be overbred. Having said that, you really are better off with one per enclosure. You can regulate the amount of food that is taken, medicine if the occasion should arise, and any possible interigation between the two. I would really recommend getting one, or installing a separating panel down the middle of the tank.
3. Just two caresheets off the top

4. Everything with a mouth CAN bite. They have very little teeth, and even less jaw power, so if a frightened leo bit you, it really won't be anything exciting. They do very rarely bite, so you dont need to worry at all.
5. They do not need any lighting at all because they are nocturnal. You must have a heat pad for the proper temps. These aren't too expensive, especially if you get it at a hardware store and not a pet store. For everything else, you can spend a lot or a little, depending if you care about the enclosure looking attractive and realistic. They need at least two hides (each). These can be fashioned out of tuppleware containers. You will also need a water dish, which must be shallow. For substrate, just use papertowel or newspaper. Then you just need the food, and calcium powder.

The cost will depend on your location. You will need to study about the Reptile that you want to get. Here is a link for a Leopard Gecko care sheet.
