Ive been thinking about getting a degree from Athabasca University which is an online school that is FULLY accreditated. I can do either 1 or 2 more years, after I get my 3 year diploma in business. Either

1 more year for a Bachelor of Human Resources and Labor Relations, or

1 more year for a Bachelor of Management, or

2 more years for a Bachelor of Commerce

What do you think? Anyone else have an opinion on Athabasca, remember its fully accreditated, not a degree mill.

Being accredited is not the same as being good or being respected. The University of Phoenix is accredited -- but is also a laughing stock.

Athabasca may be accredited -- but it is not selective. You don't even have to have a High School diploma to enroll. Therefore, employers will not know if its graduates are good or if they are idiots who could not get a degree elsewhere. On-line degrees are not respected by employers.

Most on-line schools are For Profit corporations that charge more for tuition than reputable state universities.

Be smart -- go to a real university.

When looking at online degrees, you should consider the source of the accreditation and the relative respect in your field for that particular school.

There are many brick and mortar schools that also offer online programs that are fully accredited and may be viable for you as well as an online only school.

In addition to the school's regional accreditation, check into the professional discipline accreditations for those schools at well. Many of the professional organizations in each discipline can also tell you whether a specific school's degrees are considered acceptable.

i think of to get an completely on line degree is to pass over out on the social element of faculty and have decreased interaction along with your professor. a private relationship with a prof or profs you like could be very worthwhile. even even with the shown fact that, an internet type or degree does take self-discipline because of the fact it regularly demands on an familiar basis log-ins and no keep on with up from the professor on initiatives. it quite is a commerce off. and easily, your degree would not state despite if the degree became gained on line or no longer. So your attitude ought to be which you enjoyed the social studying and networking for a time then transitioned into the internet instructions so which you need to concentration on self-progression in a artwork subject.
