Ah polish pride. That's very funny. I wish their president would learn to have a better sense of humor. But what can we do. Perhaps their laws are different, perhaps their freedoms are different then ours. I personally think we are losing our privileges over here, but if you think about it, how much did we have in the first place. since the founding of this nation and the signing of the Bill of Rights we've always had this thin line on what is acceptable or not. Just because we have the freedom of speech, doesn't mean we should abuse as most of us do. But seeing as I see nothing wrong with someone making a little joke at the presidents expense. Go ahead and say what you want, but be prepared to fight for the right to say it.

How does that violate "our freedom of speech." The guy is a Polish citizen and that is under Polish Law. I am a US citizen and I am guess you aren't a Polish citizen either (although I don't know what nation you are from). What they do in Poland in a matter like that is their business, however stupid I might think it is. I would be curious to know more about this case that just what the stories says.
From what the stories says it isn't a freedom of speech issue it is criminal act that he damaged the President of Poland's website - the guy should be prosecuting for malicious hacking - what a creep to do what he did.
Good Luck!!!

Freedom of speech is a good thing- yes people can say what they choose, but it comes with responsibility and accountability.
People are responsible for what they say, this is a fact. If what they say breaks the law or is liablous in whatever country they say it in then they must be responsible and take the consequences for their actions.

Apparently in Poland it is illegal to insult the President. Imagine what would happen in the US if we had this law! Yes, I'd say that forbidding insults to the president curtails freedom of speech.
However, I do think it should be a violation to manipulate a search engine in order to send users to irrelevant sites.
