America's biggest problem is that it has never (with the notable exception of Pearl Harbour, and that's surrounded in controversy too) had a war fought on American soil in modern times. So when there are any incidents they are met with cries of outrage. You cannot wage war on foreign powers nowadays and expect no reprisals.
Not so many years ago they were talking about there being "a limited nuclear war in Europe." They still believe we live in a "John Wayne" era where you can go in and sort out those foreigners and come home to a hero's reception.

The US are the biggest post WW2 terrorists. Everything they have done from sponsoring General Pinochet and other South American psychos, to wiping out Vietnam with Agent Orange and reducing Iraq to rubble all with the single aim of exploiting another country's resources shows that Capitalism is the biggest terrorist ideology under the sun. Now they want to put missiles in Czech. Why? The Russians aint bloody interested. All the Americans are trying to do is prop up their overblown arms industry by finding reasons to deploy hardware. Hell the Russians moved out of Czech. Why would they move back in?

Where there is war and conflict, there is profit to be made somewhere. Either from selling arms...or for making private security companies to clean up the mess...or even for the resources of the nation in question. Be that oil or anything else.
Where there's muck, there's brass and the greedy will always profiteer at the expense of the vulnerable if the world allows them to get away with it.

In one word or Two... Neo Conservatives ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-conservative ) who basically are a hard line core of Jews who control the US political system and remain in power because they have made it so that they can't be removed from power.
If you are into downloading video, grab yourself a copy of the Three part documentary called "The Power of Nightmares" made by the BBC a few years ago ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/3755686.stm & http://www.wanttoknow.info/powerofnightmares & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_of_nightmares ) and it will open your eyes as to why the conflict in the middle east has now spilt over into our lives.
Not wanting to sound anti-semitic ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Semitism ) but you have to understand that what has happend in world history has happend for a reason and it continues to effect everyones lives even today even if your not aware of it.
Seriously say that you need to watch those 3 videos and you will begin to see a bigger picture of how the Neo Conservatives have used and abused the US Citizens power base and how Neo Conservatives have been pulling the strings in world politics for a long time and why we are at war with Iraq and you then see through the lies that have been presented as truth.
I am expecting allot of thumbs downs for this post and that is very likely because people are blinkered and don't want to know the truth and prefer to keep their heads in the sand...

yes, I grew up in Northern Ireland during the 'troubles'. We all knew who was funding the IRA. America didn't give a jot about terrorism until it happened on their soil.

How about the Mujahideen in Afghanistan? they perfected what we call "terrorist attack" nowadays...but it was highly effective against a much more powerful USSR.
