If you know how to tinker with the video options with the emulator, then you could get it to run at a playable speed. You need a decent video card though. If you don't know how to mess with the video options, then use a tutorial online.

There is a playstation 2 emulator http://www.pcsx2.net/
and it does play the movies of the game (DVD needed) and you can "play" the game, but it'll be a lil slow. The emu is not a great one but is the best there is.

But my advice would be: get a playstation 2 console, or at least rent it... Is almost impossible to play on the PC, too slow
