I am American and I am proud and thrilled for the Indian Economy and their people who have been brave to make this happen.
India is one of the most peace loving countries in the world. Yes, they are bringing their children out of a land of poverty on a big bridge through education . Keep bringing each Indian child up and give them the tools they need to survive. They can stay in India or come anywhere else , the world is large. They are welcome citizens anywhere legally.
Good Luck to you in Canada . Never let anyone demean or demoralize you. Educate them , be an example , a leader , represent and be a represetative good example of what someone of Indian heritage is about. Be loyal to your Canadian freinds as well. Love peace in Canada . Be so glad you do not have George W Bush for a leader . LOL.

India is not a third world country you troll, if you had any sense you'd realise that phrase "third world" is no longer used to describe any country any more. You say Indians are paid 1/10 of what they should get - are you 10 years old?, have you ever visited India? - i think not. But don't you realise that goods/ services actually probably cost 1/10 less in India - the rupee is a very different currency and economy to the crappy American dollar. Just because Indians aren't paid the American dollar equivalent in rupees, it doesn't mean they cant buy and have all they want. The idea of different countries paying the same wages is the stupidest thing Ive heard all year. When the economies of the countries are different why should this happen?
Secondly indians are not immigrants in sense of being freeloaders. Many are doctors etc, and also other usefull jobs such as taxi drivers etc - without which fat americans couldent get home after a late night

You may be right in saying some, or many, are jealous or envious. I myself, who am not Indian, but love to read and know as much as possible about worldwide economy, and statistics in general, have been thinking a lot about how much India has prospered in so many aspects. Though not an expert in India, I am aware, though, about the effort put in by, not the Indian government alone, but apparently by every individual.
For example I am amazed at the effort by so many young people in India who have mastered the English language completely_apparently up to the point, according to a TV news show years back, of learning the many accents of different areas of the US, and would also suppose, of other Western nations_so as to fit in completely even if it's only to work in the areas of bank accounts for regular, non business customers. Or for customer help regading credit cards, etc.
It is to the Indian nation's merit, that even though over populated in great part, and having had such adversities in the political arena in decades past, has strived harder than many other countries, and keeps handling political crisis of many kinds, while at the same time being completely respectful of all nations, including the ones that unfortunately, may be their enemy.

Bipin, as an American, I can't speak for Canada or England.
But let me say these things anyhow, because everybody knows how we Americans are:
You are sitting there in Toronto, probably doing quite well as a surgeon, and calling India your country. That begs the question, why are you in Toronto instead of India?
The man you met was a dolt, but are you not stooping to his level by raising weaknesses you find in Canada? He, at least, kept his denigrating arguments between the 2 of you.
If you're just in Canada temporarily, you should accept that all Canadians (like all Indians) are not perfect.
If you're in Canada to stay, then Canada is your country now and while you hold the land of your birth in high esteem, your LOYALTY belongs with your new country.

More or Less Indian Economy is Service market, It is like Advance and Qualified labour, India is not producing anything concrete, Lets say IT industry, Whole Indian IT industry is serving cheap services for Huge american and European companies, None of the Indian company have been able to Offer softwares on their own. Whole IT infrastructure is using Obsolete US Technology, GSM, While others have moved to 3G, Nearly 5 technologies are in between Gsm and 3G. Indians are importing High extension cables for electricity, Whole machinery is imported,
Banking sector is not active as it should be in volatile market, Indians banks are far behind in number of third world countries, Total deposits of Indian banks are 5 Billion USD, Deposits are blood for any bank, Indian still doesn't have proper functioning Money market, FX is highly relying on USD, while it should have been diversified,
Last point, Its not Indians are 10th largest economy, Question is, Are indians able to feed their people? Our imports are way high as compared to our Exports,
Anyway still I feel, India has bright and shining Future, each Indian should make atleast 1 USD a day, Indians must utilise their huge consumer market, Cut off Illegal trade and black economy.

I hope not many are. I know there are some in the US that are obsessed with being number one , and the knowledge that if India and China become prosperous the US will no longer be the richest country upsets them. Most, however agree with me, and are very happy about your success, and are now much more optimistic about the future of the world. I have always been distressed at the thought of so many people living in poverty, and doubted an economic system that produced that result.

We aren't jealous, we feel sorry for you. Your people are fools to work for slave wages. You educate your people to a high degree and then pay them 1/10th of what they should earn.
Sooner or later these poor fools are going to wise up and demand a decent living wage.
Besides, a prosperous third world means less immigrants we have to deal with. Which is good for Us!

No. The world should not be a factor in our issues. Looking to "the world" right now is what is getting us into some very bad situations. If you doubt that, peek at some of the things the U.N. is seeking to impose on us--all with the agreement of many of our top officials.
