Unions have been around a long time without companies needing to go to China - what a lie to pair the two.

Products need to be labeled better and I think many consumers are wanting to buy American. Have you seen the labels "Made in USA or imported" - what a sham.

G.M. and Ford are mostly made in Mexico. There are very few replacement parts made in America anymore. In fairness Union wages help bring about the going off shore to manufacture. What bothers me is that now that the big three are using cheaper labor, it is cheaper for them to make replacement parts, why are we still paying the prices for vehicles and parts as if they were built here. I looked at a Mustang, the high end one with the Shelby logo and it had a window sticker price of nearly 90 grand. It's a Ford for craps sake.

Additional: Life Saver Candy moved to Canada because the sugar cartel in America, just like the Vermont Milk Compact, that sets the price of a gallon of milk, was costing them too much. The government of Michigan or Illinois, I forget which, offered a reduction in their taxes to stay and Life Saver told them that they would save more on sugar in Canada than what the tax reduction would be.

One more complaint I have. I bought Fruit of the Loom "T" shirts and the washing instructions are not in English. At least if your going to make them in S. America have the decency to print the labels in English. Although if you think about it there aren't that many of us left here that speak it.

At one time, unions were necessary and helpful but they long ago outgrew their usefulness and turned to power grabbing money grubbers. Because of unions we are paying much higher prices for products like cars, trucking, shipping, etc.
Unions have become like the Mafia in that they want to control everything and get their cut of the profit.

I certainly don't support their latest talk of striking against GM. That's not what GM or the UAW needs right now. If they strike, it will only push GM to leaving the US even more.
