This isn't a first amendment situation. This is a forum run by a Corporation. If you walked into Texaco's corporate headquarters and yelled about climate change, you would be asked to leave the premises. I know that you don't like the social censorship (and I don't either). Frankly they should remove the report on the politics answers area and just let stupid people get thumbs down until their answer is hidden (maybe completely). But, they are a corporation and not the government. Don't like the rules, start your own forum service that does it right.

Yahoo Answers was not intended to be an area for jokes (except in the Joke section) or a home for Flaming Trolls to start arguments. As far as you getting violations, so do I and I give serious answers to most questions. The only "rights" you have here are to ask and answer questions to help members. They are all listed in the Community Guidelines at the bottom of each page.

Calm down, take a deep breath. Maybe you need a little vacation from answers. Try to be objective and remember, most of the goofy answers come from one of two kinds of people: people just joking around, or people with the minds of 14 yr. olds. If you realize the last one, you might not even have to take a break.

I AGREE with you---these people want to ask stupid things then want to tell you how to answer and how to think....I think they are a bunch of crybabies that just want to hear what they want to hear. Stay strong my friend; they won't silence you forever, if they don't like it get out.....much of what you're experiencing is people trying to controlyour opinions. If someone posts an opinionated question about our Gov, and you give your opinionated response others try to silence you; that's pretty much it. Just don't use vulgar/obscene language or tell anyone to do anything illegal and you should be ok. You have your rights to you know :O)

I wouldn't take it personally. All it takes to generate a violation notice is two fellow answerers who disagree with you to report your answer as abuse. It's all computer generated at Yahoo. No human screens the merits of any initial abuse report.

I'm sorry, I did go over your paragraph twice. Beside not being able to find a question I don't have the faintest clue what your babbling on about.

Why not talk to real people then instead of using a computer to fill your emptiness. People all have issues that may seem silly to you but important to them. And when people post ignorant questions, is it really worth your time to answer them?

Either you have a computer malfunction or you are answering with really wacko answers. I have been here for a year and never had an answer blocked. Strange.
