Democrats campaigning in 2006 said if they got control of the house they would;

Impeach Bush
Get rid of the Wire Taps and Patriot Act
Challenge the 'Illegal' War and Make Cheney Testify
End the War and Bring the Troops Home

Were these voters 'Koolaide Drinkers' or did they actually believer the democrats would deliever on thier promises?

All in due time, all in due time.

They don't have the numbers yet to pull some of what you say off.

Remember, I said "YET"

Maybe thats one of the reason some republicans are not seeking reelection and some are jumping ship.

Could it be.............................??

Yes, I'd say it could be.

What I fail to understand is how some here can ask a question, without doing the simple research first and then get slammed in the aftermath. That is a bozo no-no when it comes to debate -- one never asks a question they don't know the answer too or god forbid, one they know can be slammed back in their face.

I guess it goes to the concept, tell a lie often enough and the people will start to believe it. I think that pretty much sums up the ultra left to ultra rights mantra. And why they keep pulling this crap.

I don't recall.
Once again you are incorrect Pretty Penny.
I will address tour first fabrication.

Before and during the 06 mid-term election campaign, the Dem Leadership including now-Speaker Pelosi took impeachment"off the table."

They promised not to seek impeachment while the Country is at war.
This was a responsible move on their part as it would do the USA more harm than good.

Let's see,the fact that the Democrats don't have enough votes to override the Republican's ongoing treason might have something to with the state of affairs.

And yes,I said treason. The Republicans have become a mob of theocratic criminal thugs out to do away with American Liberty.

Neither. We just wanted to end Republican dominance of Congress so Bush wouldn't have card blanche anymore. That in itself was worth giving the Democrats control of Congress.

I voted democrat cause I don't want the neoconservative thing to continue anymore,

the impeach bush is obviously crackpot politics, but we can't allow neoconservatives to run our country into the ground anymore

I don't feel betrayed, I'm thankful for democrats like Joe Biden who see reason and fund the war in Iraq even thou the Bush stay the course policy is disaster.

You need to do a little more research or watch C-Span more often. Nice try though!
