There is nothing wrong with it legally, and you should know this as a 33 year old, so the question that only you can ask yourself is is why do I seem to have a problem with her being younger then I am?

I only say this because you would not be asking people if it is OK unless you felt like there was something wrong with the situation.

Does her age bother you, and if so you need to find out why before you end up hurting her by staying together and figuring it out later.

I believe in marriage. I'm generally optimistic whenever I hear that someone is planning to get married, and I hope the best for them. In your case I feel that you are taking a bigger risk than most people do. Your wife to be is going to go through many changes by the time she is your age. Woman who get married at too young of an age will eventually feel that they missed their opportunity to have fun and to be free. While you may be able to know what you really want in life, I doubt that any 18 year old girl does. She may think so, but I guarantee that her mind is going to change. It's also hard to imagine that any parent of an 18 year old girl would be happy about this decision.

Youae both of consenting age. However, that being said, be sure that she is ready for such a commitment. That is still a little young, are you sure that she is ready for this, or would she rather get her college education? Spend time just being a young adult? I'm not advocating a wild party life for her, however, it would be better for her to do these things NOW than to marry you and for whatever reason, resent you for not being able to do these things, or whatever goals she might have. Good luck.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me. As if ANYBODY who's 18 is mature enough to make a lifelong commitment to a man who is 15 years older. Kind of makes me wonder why you can't find somebody your won age that you have more in common with. Then again, it should be OBVIOUS why a 33 year old man would want to marry an 18 year old. And it isn't because of her beautiful mind!

She may like you, but she is not in love with you. Later on, she will resent you for robbing her of the best years of her life.
You must be very immature or have pedofile tendencies to want to marry someone who is barely legal.

If you two are mutually interested in getting married, then go for it. There's nothing wrong with being 11 years older than her.

What could you possibly have in common with an 18 y/o?
The novelty will run off and what will be left? Takes more then just attraction to have a successful marriage.
