THE UNITED STATES HAS TOLD THEM NOT TO.

THE UNITED STATES SAID THEY WOULD HANDLE THE SITUTATION.

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU WAS ON TV STATING "IF YOU DON'T WE WILL"

LIKE I SAID BEFORE...."YOU MESS WITH THE BULL, YOU GET THE HORN"

ISRAEL WILL GO IN AND DO SOMETHING YOU CAN COUNT ON IT....IF THE US DOESNT.

At this point, it could spark a world war involving all the nations of the middle east, Russia and the US. At the very least, it would put US troops in great jeopardy.

The UN nuclear inspectors and the US intelligence agencies have said Iran is still 5-7 years away from producing a bomb. Iran is cooperating with the inspections and although the perfect solution has not been achieved, economic and diplomatic sanctions are working. There is no urgency or imminent threat which would justify a war or the loss of so many lives.

Actions like this simply legitimize the actions for others.

Meaning if it's okay for one nation arbitrarily attack another one on a whim or an unsubstantiated suspicion, then it's okay for others to arbitrarily attack still other nations.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is how this works. In modern English, that's "Treat people the way you want people to treat you."

I assume that nations, just like the individuals in those nations, want to be treated with respect and dignity.

It's time we did that.

Furthermore, the Israelis are probably quite aware of the precarious existence Iranian Jews live in. An attack by Israel on an Iranian nuke would probably trigger a pogrom (deliberately chosen term) against Iranian Jews. Another holocaust.

And don't be too surprised if someday we learn that the Chinese have quietly hinted to Israel they might not take too kindly to having nuclear pollution leaking across their frontier with Iran. That's a whisper a nation would be very foolish to ignore.

I don't have a problem with it but let me play the devil's advocate.

Iran will get the bomb in the future... It will happen no matter what. We (the US or Israel) can have air strikes but all that will come out of it is that the Iranian nuclear program will be delayed.... so air strikes just increase tensions in a powder keg.

Now I don't think the tensions will be loosened if we do nothing too. So either way I don't have a problem with it.... BUT Iran will get the bomb eventually. That is guaranteed.

It would probably just feed the voilence and make the situation worse for all concerned. This irrational fear of "Iran Nukes" reminds of other WMD horror stories...

Besides, what do we know about those sites that the governments don't that we could even make an un educated guess at the prospect of such actions?

Take a good look at that little kook who runs much of the show over there and then ask that question again. See the link for a small taste of what the Iranian government will do to its own people.
