There's this girl I know that was in my class last year. She was mean to me and was a smart eleck to me. She'd hang around me and my friends in class, and ask for sips of my drink and stuff. The thing is, she also had a staring problem, where I'd catch her looking at me all the time...that was last year. This year, she does the staring thing, and when I look at her, she gives me this weird look. I saw her in the office once, when I went in there, and she wouldn't even look at me or speak to me. Well 5 weeks later(yesterday) she came up to me in the lunch line and started speaking to me. She'd bump her arm into mine and smile and laugh. Then she told me she was going to make me laugh when she saw me at a certain event. She's saying and doing all that, and that was her first time talking to me this whole year. Earlier this year, she just stared at me and stuff. Why is she just now talking to me and stuff?
I went along with it, and was nice to her.

Sounds like in the beginning she was jealous of you.
Now she is showing you that she likes you and admires you.
Since she was in the office and didn't say anything to you, she might have gotten into trouble and she was embarrassed.
She sounds like she might need to work on her social skills. She sounds a bit odd to me.
