Colonel William Barret Travis.
He commanded the Alamo, and wrote the famous letters from within its walls. His most famous letter (below) is considered by many historians to be the most patriotic letter ever written.
He was a lawyer, because Texas needed lawyers to sort out all of the new land transactions that were going on between the Mexican government's land barons (Texas was still part of Mexico at the time) and the American colonists, and between the colonists themselves. Also, with all of that new commerce going on in Texas, disputes between parties were bound to happen, which needed lawyers to settle.
To The People of Texas and
All Americans In The World --
February 24, 1836
Fellow citizens & compatriots --
I am beseiged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna -- I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man -- The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken -- I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls -- I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism, & every thing dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch -- The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country --
VICTORY OR DEATH

I write like Ian Fleming, the acclaimed author of the James Bond novels. i circulate to objective returned merely a sec... then it mentioned Faulkner, H.G. Wells, Rowling, Tolkien, King and Salinger. i understand how this element works, it examines what form of vogue you're writing. It sounded severe and mysterious interior the James Bond excerpt, horryfing interior the H.G. Wells, I have not have been given any theory what it appeared like once I have been given Faulkner, and it sounded very simplistic yet properly-written once I have been given J.ok. Rowling. one among my occasion sentences once I have been given Ian Fleming became "He relapsed into the convenience of a huge armchair, feigning disinterest because of the fact the wrongdoer entered the room." Whoa, then I have been given Mark Twain once I mentioned something approximately classical mythology. strange... My very final answer even with the shown fact that, is Stephen King because of the fact I have been given him thrice. I never have been given Orwell even with the shown fact that.
