I am not sure about some of the above answers.

This category is Africa and Middle East, not Africa only. Turkey can sure be part of the Middle East.

And I would vote for Turkey to join this category, Yes.

Well Turkey is not maybe in the EU; but is in the European Council and has representation.
Geographically and culturally it is in the middle of middle east, asia, and europe.
Historically it has closer ties with Europe, since its formation in 1923.
It does not really have any borders in Africa.
Where Turkey is now (Anatolia), once was Greek civilizations and Roman Empire, and they are considered to be the cradle of Western civilization, so I guess this will prove Turkey is located both culturally and geographically towards the West.
Turkey is not only Western oriented but also gets along fine with Middle Eastern countries, and also sees itself middle eastern, due to shared heritage. Yet, don't forget Alexander the Great the notable Macedonian king also found himself both European and Middle Eastern. There are many other historical examples of belonging to more than one culture and civilization. So how are you going to rip Turkey from Europe in this chat board, where in real life it is a part of it. And isn't virtual world supposed to mimic the real life in a forum as this?

Why do you want Turkey to be moved to Africa ?
We don't have territories anymore in North Africa

Why do you want Turkey to be moved to Middle East ?
Christianity was born in Middle East, and there are already Muslim nations in Europe ( Bosnians and Albanians).
And we also lost all our lands in Arabian Peninsula( Palestine,Israel,Saudi Arabia,Jordan,etc...)

Why do you want Turkey to be moved to Asia ?
Russians have much lands than us in Asia : Does that make them Asians ?

Ishaq.. Do you have a map??

Then look into it.

Middle East and Africa is "kinda" long away from Turkey.

Tough call - because it is both a European country and a Middle Eastern country. Either way I like Turkey.

Good Luck!!!

I vote for Turkey to get out of all Yahoo Answers in any column . The are not needed. No one is interested in Turkey. Your government has not stood accountable for the crimes we have seen in MIDNIGHT EXPRESS years ago.

We do not forget. Take your hash and keep it in your water pipe hubbly bubbly units.
