You haven't had a period for 3 months and you're not pregnant. What's going on?

It could be a number of things.

Stress on your body will sometimes cause your period to miss, such as excess exercise or not enough nutrition. Or even if you've been extremely sick. Or perhaps stress from school or from your work place will do it.

Or it could be that your hormones aren't quite balanced as they should be. If that's the case, a doctor should be able to help you.

Or if you're still a teenager, it could be that your body is still trying to figure out what it's supposed to do. In which case, it will sort itself out in time.

Obviously, double check you're definately not pregnant. Not having periods could be due to your weight. If your BMI is <18, then you are more likely to suffer from Amenorrhea, or loss of periods.

Above all, I would recommend going to the doctor's office to be sure, there may be an underlying illness.

Hope all works out

Ermmm.... I may be a bit obvious, but don't you think you should go and see a Doctor rather than ask questions on here, especially if you're worried about it?

If you think you may be pregnant then try a home test kit and it may give you an answer...... if I were you I'd make an appointment to see the doctor as soon as you can.

Go tyo the doctor and get checked out. Could be for a number of reasons, are you stressed or underweight? My friends periods stopped and it turns out she has polycystic ovaries, best to get yourself checked over and get the problem sorted

I've had the same problems and the reproductive endocrinologist has no idea what to do - make sure you get a good doctor!

It depends on how old you are, could it be the menopause?
If not try to relax, the more you worry the longer it could take to go back to normal.
