i had this problem once..
i think it has something to do with the computer settings im not sure
the two symbols that were mixed up on mine we " and @
i just had to get use to using them like that

it's your computer set for an english keyboard?

I'm not sure... make sure you're pressing the SHIFT key and holding it down and then press the @/2 key.
