Sen. Clinton speaks about this war more than she speaks about anything else. Pretty much all of them do right now, so I'm mystified where you are getting that idea from. What will she do about terrorism? Glad you asked. She intends to do several things. First thing is getting the Iraqis to form a viable government so we can stop policing a civil war. She intends to leave residual troops in Iraq and the surrounding areas to directly engage Al Queda and deal with the problems with the Taliban on the Pakistan/Afghanistan borders. She understands clearly that we cannot leave Iraq to Al Queda and the Iranians. She intends to repair our relations with our Allies and form a military coalition with them strictly geared toward fighting terrorism around the world, including sharing and vetting intelligence, and cooperation with all involved police forces in each country. There is no one place to fight terrorism and thankfully she understands that. The fight will be all over the globe since Al Queda and the wanna-be Al Queda groups have been setting up cells all over the world. It will take this sort of cooperation between nations to get this in hand. So much for the conservatives who love to claim that nothing will be done.

As far as immigration, I don't have a clue what any of them will do. The Republicans sure haven't done anything now have they? I blame both parties for not solving this problem. I think the conservatives have a lot of nerve talking about immigration where the Democrats are concerned. What the hell have THEY done? Nothing.

Since the democrats have passed the bill to finish the 911 Commission's recommendations, I would say they will continue the current methods of surveillance and search within the states. I have heard them talk of getting back to Afghanistan to stop the current rise in terrorist training camps and Taliban activity. They also want to get rid of the poppy crops that fund those terrorist activities.

I believe they want to redeploy the majority of the combat troops from Iraq but leave training and special forces to fight terrorists as well as continued reconstruction.

They want comprehensive immigration laws. Some want the wall, some don't. Illegals are not only from Mexico. It is important to find out who is in this country and then deal with it. Having millions of unknown people in this country in times like these is unacceptable for our safety.

I seriously doubt we would be so involved in the Middle East affairs if it wasn't for the need for their oil. Global warming is a good excuse to encourage a speedy resolution to finding other sources of fuel whether it is an accurate assessment of what is happening to our environment or not.

I think the economy is going to become an even bigger issue as we near election time. Health care costs should be addressed from other avenues than just universal health care. There should be some effort to find out why it is so expensive in the first place.

Many Democrats were elected to Congress in 06 that had a hawkish view on the war and illegal immigration but the ones that might be elected in 08 could be people that are pro-illegal immigration and want us to get all our troops out right away (I personally think this is a bad idea, we should withdraw them gradually and no I didn't support the war). But, regardless of the party in power, we need to make sure that our next President will make it their main concern to protect the American people. Thanks!

Hopefully, more than the Republicans have done. They're even letting in all those Mexican trucking companies now. And they went to the wrong country to fight the war on terror. Al Qaida wasn't in Iraq until we invaded. Osama Bin Laden was responsible for 9/11 and he's in Afghanistan or Pakistan. The Republicans haven't stopped him yet either. So I suppose if a Democrat got elected and did anything at all it would be more than the Republicans.

Not sure what they will do about those issues, but if elected, I will view the Democrats as a bigger threat to American freedom than both the terrorists and illegal immigrants combined.

Leaving Iraq means stop making more people who didn't want to kill us before want to kill us now. The people who attacked us never were in Iraq. We are basically fighting people there who are pissed off we are in their country. Just like we would do if we were occupied by Russia for example.

Invading Iraq MADE the terrorists happy, they have seen recruitment levels beyond their wildest dreams, we took out an ENEMY of bin Laden. Instead of dealing a death blow to Al-Qaeda after 9/11 Bush strengthened them and their movement and withdrawing from Iraq is only the beginning of trying to reverse the damage done to our security.

Democrat politicians see illegal immigrants as a reliable, captive source of future votes, so you can be sure they're going to weaken our already pitiable border defenses. Insofar as terrorism is concerned, now that they've gained control of both houses of Congress, they seem to be taking an approach that is indistinguishable from the Republicans, so I wouldn't expect much of a change there.

Listen, Bush and his minions of doom have caused so much damage, no one can totally undue it. You have to cut the losses and bare the aftermath of it. The war on Iraq has done the complete opposite of eradicating terrorists, it increased it. Those who were on the fence about their feelings of the United States, now despise it. It is a matter of time till another attack occurs.

They will encourage terrorism and illegal immigration.........they are leftists par excellance..........socialistic and anti-freedom. Be in great agony if they take control of the government.

No, they'll just ignore it like Clinton did. We will pull all our troops out, piss off more people by leaving them unstable(even though I don't think we can even help them) they could care less about illegal immigration, they make some laws about banning plastic bottles, and all Eco friendly things, about do nothing about finding Bin Laden..... I think all candidates on all sides are bad news, the only one I think has potential is Rudy.
