If your going to re-seed then do it now, autumn is almost here and with the rain that this brings the grass seed is more likely to rot, the day light hours are slowly getting shorter and the temperature is getting lower, in a month's time i would forget it till spring. Don't wait any longer or it will be a complete waste of time and seed.

Yes because the birds will eat the seeds as fast as you're sowing them. Thes best time is at the end of February.

really depends on where you live....here we won't get snow for another couple months so it is a good time to sow, as it is cooler, and the sun won't scorch the new growth...another tip someone once taught me is to cover the new seed with a clear tarp...it acts like a greenhouse keeping it warm and accelerating the germination phase....catch is you have to watch that after it does start to grow, that you don't leave it on too long and end up cooking your new grass in the sun

Its all on where you live, in the south it's just about time to start overseeding, Just apply a similar type of grass a little starter fertilizer and get the water to it. Good Luck

it really doesn't matter where you live as it is either spring or fall or hot all the time either way it is the best time to plant when it is cool but not freezing

that said people should really at least tell country and region if they ask a question like this

Perfect time (in the UK) for seed or turf, just make sure it gets plenty of water and cover it so the birds dont get at it.
