How big is BIG? We don't consider any spider less than 100mm across as BIG here. Spiders eat fresh meat, eg insects mostly. By eating in your room you are attracting insects and thus spiders. You probably had a spider lay egs in the garage and these are the new generation. Expect more. Large spiders also like warm places so that is another reason they find your room attractive. Spiders can live upwards of 30 yrs. [depends on the species] So consider carefully before killing one. They are excellent pest control animals. If you remove them, you may find that you will be over run with cockroaches and flies and ants.

You may laugh at this but a 91 year old friend of mine swears by it! Put one conker in the corners of each room and it will keep them away. (I'm not mad honest!). I know it's hard to find them but it does work trust me. If you can't get hold of conkers you can buy a product from companies like Kleeneeze who sell a spider spray which contains conker oil which I think you spray in the corners. It doesn't harm them just keeps them away as they don't like the smell.

Those things don't work on spiders. Keeping your window closed, especially at night. Does the trick but I always do a quick look about my room everyday just in case.

I'm not sure but you could get a professional and/or go to a store and ask someone how to keep spiders out of house!

Totally seal the room up and make it airtight lol

You can't really stop spiders from entering a room, they do come in all shapes and sizes

I myself have a spider phobia so I learned from my mother in law to put bounce sheets under my bed and under my matress on the side and it will keep them away....
so I guess if you want to put one in your doorways....
might look silly but I swear it works, and it will keep out other bugs to.

hope I helped some!
Good luck!
:-)
