Of course there are many types of piano and my interest at the moment is a baby piano.
Does a baby piano have the full range? Like the amount of keys on it? Baby pianos are much smaller so i was owndering if the range went down.

A baby grand has a full 88 keys, looks nice and takes up less room than a full size grand,
The richness of the tone and volume of a piano is determined by the length of the strings. Obviously full sized grand pianos are better in this regard but also considerably more expensive.
What many people don't know is that most full sized upright pianos are considered "better" sounding and even cost less in most cases than baby grands.
A smaller upright or console piano's strings are shorter in most cases than baby grands so they are typically at the low end as far as sound and price.

I assume you mean a baby grand piano. Yes a baby grand pianos have a full 88 keys. The are not as loud as a concert grand and generally their tone is not quite as rich, but are far more practical for homes. Most people cannot tell the difference in tone.

The two responders above are correct. A grand piano's size is determined from front to back, not from side so side. Side to side they are all the same.
There is no "standard" by the way, for the term "baby grand" -- I consider it anything in the range of 5 feet. But I have had customers come into the store looking for "7 foot baby grands". Amusing, and profitable for me :-)
The original baby grand was introduced (and the term baby grand was coined) by Steinway in 1936 with the introduction of their model "S", which is 5'1" in length.

um, baby grands have full 88keys. And the range is just fine, they are much more suitable for homes.
