i have seen leopard and horseshoe for sale but i would like to know more about what kind of enviroment they need to live in and are there any more suitable breeds than these

I would go with a Russian Tortoise. I have one now and I absolutely love her. They are hardy pets, and can stand harsh temperatures. But tortoises can become quite expensive, but I think it's worth it. Go to russiantortoise.org for more information. Good Luck.

No tortoise is exactly "easy". They need large enclosures, a heat basking bulb, and UVB lighting. They need a variety of foods, and usually a fresh salad daily. Here are some helpful websites:

i would recommend the Testudo Hermanni as it is easy to take care of!
here are some pointers about it

grows about 7inches

needs a woodland decorated tank

eats vegitation and fruit (but not so much fruit, give as a treat now and then) and mix with vitamin powder especailly for tortoises

the easiest i think is the red eared slider. All you have to do is flip them over if they get on their back, change the water every day, feed them, and love them!!!!
