That is an individual decision. You have to make up your own mind whether it is sin or not.

I don't think your church thinks masturbation is a sin anymore, but you'd have to ask your priest. I think it did at one time, but in any case it's one of those minor infractions that a weekly Our Father will absolve. I mean, when I was your age a Catholic friend and I masturbated each other regularly, and he always confessed to "adultery" and was never told to stop, just to do some minor penance.
Is it REALLY a sin? I doubt it. 95% of the male population masturbates, so if you're going to hell for it, you'll be in excellent company.

Masturbation does not do you any harm.
It is completely normal.Do it as often as you feel the need
DOES NOT CAUSE
baldness
acne
shortsightedness
hairy palms
warts
shortness
small penis
large penis
infertility
impotence
or any other old wives tail
IN FACT
IT IS GOOD FOR YOU
There is some evidence that it helps to prevent prostate cancer when you are older .
I do not consider it wrong.
You have not taken a vow of celibacy.
It is a normal sexual outlet until you are married
It is not self abuse.
If you feel guilty about it you can always confess.
EVERY normal young male(catholic or not) masturbates

Your question is categorized in Men's Health, but it is really a religious question. Health issues are not "right" or "wrong" - they are "healthy" or "unhealthy."
"Sin" is defined by whichever religious body or individual is making that judgment.
My wife was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic church because they consider us to be practicing adultery in that she was divorced from her first husband. They think that's a sin; we don't.
In my opinion, masturbation is healthy. I don't know what the Catholic church thinks about it, but in the last analysis, I think, it's your decision.
It sounds like you could use some help in working through this issue. You can certainly seek input and advice from adults you trust (although given the reputation priests are getting, I'd be careful about them). Ask some adult whose opinion you value - parent, relative, doctor, teacher, or other trustworthy adult friend (you can even email me to discuss this more privately and in confidence).
This is not something that has to cause you a lot of anguish.

Not unless you allow it to be. Do you believe everything the church says? Make up your own mind on this matter. There is no definitive passage in the bible that says masturbating is a sin.

yes it is, i am a Christian, ,(first baptist)
and i dont know anything much about the catholic things, but the bible does say that if you think impurely about a woman that you have already committed adultly with her in your heart, which is a sin, and im quite sure you think of someone while you are jacking off. so it would be a sin.

No it is not a sin. Masturbation is perfectly normal for most young men so try to calm down and don't worry about something that is very normal.

It's not a sin. It's normal and keeps you physically and mentally healthy. At your age you are not able to control your sexual activity with a partner, so it's normal to masturbate.

Well, the bible does say its better to spill your seeds into a whore than on the ground-(it may be worded just a little different but it goes something like that). Look it up in the King James Version. Do you feel condemned?? If so it is wrong! Wish you the best!
