Fascinating isn't it? History repeated itself. Only it wasn't Hilter this time, it was George W. Bush, and you're living during this era. You can look back and wonder how the German public was so placid to the attrocities, and yet, here we are.
Why do we not question? Why do we do so little?

RajinCajin:
If I were educated, eh? READ: "what NAZI Germany called it's Blitzkrieg?"
Not what we called it, what they called it.
We called it Blitzkrieg, they called it SHOCK AND AWE.
Do you comprehend now?

A few have questioned the validity of this statement. Let me clarifiy by stating that this information was given to me by a German friend who said many people in Germany were outraged that this terminology from WWII was being reused by the United States. Upon your questioning I found one link referencing it, and you can go on wikipedia or I'm sure many other sites to find information supporting that the term "blitzkrieg" was NOT the terminology in prevalent use in Germany during their invasions.
http://www.buffalobeast.com/98/achtung.htm Is a site that references the terminology and the propaganda publication that was utilized to spread it. I'm sure more references can be found in German, but I can't read German.

Thanks to those who answered constructively.
For those of you who do not know, history repeats itself. It is only to those vigilant enough to ask the hard questions that can escape the cycle or even soften the blow.
Bush is not Hitler, or even like Hitler, the reference was to wake you up to the possibility that attrocities can happen again. Will Bush go down in the history books as a controversial president who liberated the iraqi's and spearheaded the fight on terror, or the president who blundered into the most expensive foreign relations crisis of all time? I don't know, either is possible.
For those of you who think I'm a radical liberal, you should go read up on constructive forums and the role of the devils advocate.
We should all put our mindless partisanship and prehashed ideological leanings aside and focus on the issues that effect the people.

Yeah, and calling the US the "homeland" and naming a cabinet department "Homeland Security" sounds an awful lot like the fascist terms "Fatherland"and "Motherland."
People didn't question the war because they were motivated by fear, and listened to the unquestioning media. Even the New York Times reported the aluminum tubes and yellow cake stories on its front pages as fact.

What's really happening this time is due to high tech "less than lethal" weaponry and high tech tactics and strategies.
If a newspaper or a news reporter says anything, they then subject the "offending" party with all kinds of defensive maneuvers. It can be something like the city building inspector writes up a full book of violations that could bankrupt a newspaper to actually attacking an individual with damaging rumors and at the worst, they will direct sound weapons at the person which don't kill but they do destroy the persons functionality. It's called being a "targeted individual".
After seeing a few of your compadres subjected to these things, you shut up.
Have a little time to find out more? Here's the whole thing in a succinct dissertation. Have fun.

The asker of this question is a hopelessly lost liberal who hates the people who protect his freedom to say what borders on treason without being killed for it like those who he glorifies would do to him.
Blitzkrieg is German for Lightning War. Hitler called his tactics Blitzkrieg, not shock and awe, and only an irrational undereducated liberal would believe that German Nazis would use an English name for German tactics. What a sick joke this question is. What "atrocities" is this traitor referring to? If he wants to see a real atrocity he should go look at the hole in the ground where the world trade center stood. He should view a few of the beheading tapes the terrorists made to show the world how they treat innocent prisoners. The asker of this question is free to move to Iran and join those who are fighting against the Americans he hates, and I hope he does so he can see some real shock and awe when he realizes how misguided he has been and how ridiculous his treasonous behavior is. This asker should wake up and smell the jihad.

I did not know that, I watch the History Channel a lot and they have never referenced that.
But it's evident that the History Channel makes it clear Hitler was most likely Jewish and the Zionist were his backers for the NWO and the Holocaust for the better good of world Jewry.
But like the German citizens of that time, what can we do about it.

I think you are reading this incorrectly. The tactics of "shock and awe" have been compared to the Nazi blitzkrieg tactics. Even though time and time again this approach has been shown not to be as effective as the planners would have hoped, it is still used more as a form of revenge and retribution than anything else.
These tactics failed miserably at Stalingrad in WW2 and more recently in the Chechen city of Grozny.

It is amazing to me that on one hand, president Bush is criticized for being a neo-con(by those who don't know the definition), and on the other hand he gets compared to Hitler, a left winger. The only people that can compare Hitler to Bush in any way, are those among us that are completely ignorant of history. Just for starters, Hitler was seizing land, the U.S. is not. Hitler started WW II, the terrorists started this one, thirty-odd years ago, but we didn't fight back until after 9/11.

"Shock and Awe" was developed by the Pentagon in 1996. It is an adaptation of the Blitzkrieg but the term and overall strategy is uniquely American! On top of it all this strategy was developed during Clintons time in office were is Clinton listed in your rant?
Here is a hint!!!

The term Blitzkrieg actually was defined as "lightning war".
I guess Poland was the first to see so-called "shock and awe" in action if you want to look at it that way.
