should I buy a SUMOdisk external 3.5 hard disk drive from argos uk?

I like the 500gig one but I don't know what seek time is. Is it important? P.S it is 9ms seek time which I dson't know what that is? plz help!

My personal preference is a Western Digital "MyBook" drive, try www.pixmania.co.uk for good prices.

If you use the drive as external storage more than "running stuff from" access time less important. But it's essentialls how long (on average) it takes the read heads to get to right place to read the data.
