my mums making me wear my white pants to a posh restaurant even though im on my period and she says ill be fine! the thing is will i ? aand if i wear them i wont want to be standing up all the time in case you can see the pad and stuff? help please xx

i am a man and this happened to my wife and she was paniking all the time,can you see anything i said no ,p.s where what you want smart black trousers or something as you will feel a bag of nerves seriously it will make you have a crap night

What you might want to do is try out a tampon, and then wear a pad under that, just in case. As long as you wear white underwear and have a white pad, you'll be fine.

I was always taught the rule, "never wear light colors on your period." But, just, change ur pad or tampon as often as u usually do, if not maybe more often if it will make u feel more comfortable, try tying a sweatshirt around your waist or something if u want to be extra safe. u'll prolly be fine.

Make sure that you are wearing a pad that is attached firmly to your underwear - the kind with wings work great. There are pads that are for heavier times that are thin, too, so talk to your mom and see if she can make sure you have what you need to make sure you don't have an accident. Also, make sure you put on a new pad before you go, check while you are there, and when you get ready to leave.

Well if you came prepared for it then you'll be fine. But if your to afraid of it showing through wear a tampon and light pad. Or don't wear white pants. Explain to your mom that you feel uncomfortable and wear a darker color pant.

You should be fine - just be sure to attend to your female needs frequently, and you really shouldn't be able to see a pad in place unless you have on very thing pants and the pad has coloring. Be sure to wear appropriate undergarments - white or "nude" and the pad shouldn't be noticeable.
I would also explain to my mother very calmly that since you are very new to having your period you are very uncomfortable with the white pants, and offer a compromise. Plus remind her - it's after Labor, traditionally white is a summer color and is not worn after Labor Day.

okay don't worry. You probably will be fine. Is your period heavy? If it is, wear a pad, but stuff some toilet paper around your vaginal. Go to the bathroom half way through dinner and change it and you should be fine. I would insist on wearing black pants, but if she requires you too, you should be okay.

Make sure you change your tampon at least every 4 hours, wear a liner as well. You should be sweet. How long are you into your period?. If you've only just started change your tampon every 3 hours.

wear some shorts(that you can't see through the pants) i always do that because i have to wear khakis to school
