Who could have phrased it better than Zell Miller at the 2004 Republican National Convention:
"...it is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag who gives that protester the freedom he abuses to burn that flag."
Instead of some silly moment of silence on Veteran's Day, we should encourage people everywhere to repeat these words as a reminder that our freedom has come at a price, and that price has been heriocally paid by America's warriors.
Without our brave warriors, we would either be learning Russian or German, as limp-wristed England seems to have surrendered to the Muslim extremists (see second website below). I wish to thank all the soldiers, who had to endure the shocking ingratitude of wimpy Liberal Alan Alda- Phil Donahue-types who think we can just hold hands with the terrorists and sing Kumbaya.

In a mass grave behind some Nazi concentration camp, probably.
I agree with one poster, though. We should thank the 14% our military that are Democrats for their service. At least they aren't all cowards.

Which one, Roosevelt, who gave Stalin half of Europe to be enslaved for 40 years, or maybe Woodrow Wilson, who set the stage in 1919, for WW2, or maybe the hardcore warrior 5 deferment Cheney, who issued the biggest invasion in 1989 since WW2, to catch Noriega in Panama, shooting up a defenseless country, or The CIA, who bankrolls and trains nice guys like Idi Amin, Khomeini, Saddam and Bin Laden?

Go ahead and pat your self on the back if you like, but this is kind of a narcissistic question. But to answer : I think they would be just fine.

They probably would never been born.
The Japs or Germans would have killed off their parents in concentration camps.

What's wrong with being limp wristed? I'd rather my wrists were limp than some other parts of my anatomy.
