Seems to me that people are upset because they want change and the right wing conservaturds are stopping the Democrats attempts at affecting those changes.

Bravo!!!!!! Yes, you are correct.

A 360 friend told me a few days ago that Bush had not been able to do all he wanted because he did not have the control.

I reminded him that Bush had a republican congress until last November!

Before they promised to end the war in Iraq, Democrats knew the U.S.A. was going to maintain a military presence there for decades - if not generations - until we've sucked every drop of OIL from that land's sands.
Democrats used a promise of ending the war to get elected, nothing else. Republicans do the same damn thing. You have two political parties that keep a stranglehold on a monopolistic, corrupt two-party system by switching back-and-forth and playing a shell game with American voters, most of whom believe their vote makes a difference.
"Republicrats" know this 'war' is all about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. "Republicrats" know that 675,000 Iraqis and 3,800 American soldiers have given up their lives so that a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers can become wealthier and more powerful.
"Republicrats" are aware that the U.S. will be "in" Iraq for years to come. That's why we're building the largest U.S. embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the 'new' Iraqi puppet government installed by the Bush administration.
That's why Halliburton is building fourteen (yes - 14!) new permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.
That's why the number-one non-military benchmark in Bush's measure of 'success' requires the Iraqi Parliament to pass a law which surrenders 66% of its oil fields to private "big oil" foreign corporations (like Exxon). The Iraqi politicians understand the backlash from such a deal, but the Bush administration is insisting that Iraq give up most of its most valuable resource to be exploited by giant U.S. oil companies.**
It doesn't matter if Republicans or Democrats are in power. And all of us who artificially label ourselves as "liberals" or "conservatives" are nothing more but the 'mark' in this ongoing political shell game. Most of us don't even know the true definition of a "liberal" or "conservative" - we just lsiten to our daily brainwashing from our favorite talk show hosts and then proceed to spread the same hatred, bias, and bigotry that continues to divide our nation (instead of working together to unite our country and dump all the wicked "Republicrats"). -RKO- 09/15/07

Congress is not listening to the people, that's why their ratings are low. I'm a Democrat and can see who is giving away our country. All laws should be in our best for the citizens and block any that will hurt us.
