my laptop had been replaced a lcd with a new one lately. then i noticed that there is semi-circlular shape dark spot on the corner of my screen. how can i remove it?

i dont think this is dead pixel.. do you think all dead pixels are black?

If it covers more than one pixel then no.

If they just replaced your panel then it is probably something they did in that process. If it is a significant defect send it back and tell then to do it right this time.

That is probably a dead pixel. You laptop's brand company should have a dead pixel policy. Like the number of dead pixel's before it is deemed broken. You should check on there website or ring them and ask someone.

You damaged the screen somehow. Did you or someone throw something at it? That'll do it.
