I'm going there for next semester (January to July) so I would like to know this.
Thanks a lot, ciao!

The hottest months in Sydney are in Summer time - December, January and February. The temperature gets up to 30 degrees celsius. You are definitely coming at the right time for the beach!! Make sure you pack your swimsuit and get down to Bondi, Bronte and Cronulla beaches!

Winter begins in June. It does get quite cold - depending on what part of Sydney you are staying in...you will need a warm coat and Scarf in July!

Hope you enjoy your stay!!!

The average maximum temperature in Sydney in January is 25.9°C with 80% of maximum temperatures between 22.1 and 29.9°C . January is the hottest month. July is the coldest month with an average maximum of 16.2°C and 80% of maximum temperatures between 13.3 and 19.4°C. In summer it is hotter west of the city.

For the first three months, you will get away with summer clothes, perhaps needing a sweater or a jacket in the evenings in March. By July you will need some warm clothing.

The wettest month of the year is March but January to July are wetter than August to December so bring an umbrella.
